The word attunement refers to the learning session, it is also the initiation ceremony by which the student is “attuned” to the energies used in this healing modality. Not taught in the traditional sense of a classroom setting, the knowledge and skills are passed through ceremony, practice, and experience. This means we’re not just going to be talking about it, we’re going to be doing it.

Level 1: If you’re a beginner (no healing experience necessary), or are looking for a new perspective or a refresher on the basics.
Level 2: If you’ve had a level 1 attunement and are ready to take the next step in expanding your skills. Everyone is different, and you will know when you are ready. I recommend waiting at least 1-3 months after the level 1 attunement.
Level 3: The “master” level, it may be split into multiple sessions depending on whether you want to be able to attune and teach others. Everyone is different, and you will know when you are ready. I recommend waiting at least 3-6 months after the level 2 attunement.
All levels can be done in a group setting, or for a more personalized experience, one-on-one. Both group and private session attunements will generally last anywhere from 1-3 hours. Level 3 sometimes requires additional sessions & support.

Preparing for an attunement:
Consider what you have scheduled around the time of your attunement, be prepared to want to take it easy. Even if you don’t choose to prepare yourself in any way, your body and spirit may begin preparing for you! Always listen to your body, get enough rest, and stay hydrated. If you should perhaps find yourself feeling ‘moody’ a few days before, its important not to judge yourself, but just acknowledge that you’re getting “it” out of your system, in preparation.
Ways to prepare are a matter of personal preference. Some like to meditate the night before. My favorite cleansing ritual bath is water as hot as you can comfortably stand it, one pound of epsom salt, one pound of baking soda, stay in 20 minutes or until the water starts to turn tepid, don’t wait until you feel cold. I usually throw in a dash of my favorite herbal bath salt mix and put on the relaxing music, light candles, and smudge with sage or palo santo.
What to bring (recommended):
- Wear comfortable clothing (sweatpants, yoga attire, PJs…)
- Something to take notes with
- A light, healthy snack and drinking water
