Jennifer Masters
I was raised Christian, and when I could no longer ignore the fact that it didn’t fit, I went exploring and fell into Witchcraft. It was like coming home to a place I’d never been. Then explored Wicca, and now I consider myself somewhere between Paganism and Shamanism. The more I explore, the more I see it’s all the same, at the heart. But these particular paths speak to me on a level I can’t really explain.
As a Shamanic Practitioner I facilitate events and ceremony in the San Diego area. In addition to teaching Shamanic spiritual practices, I teach Tribal Belly Dance. These practices have meant so much to me on my personal journey, I am honored to share them.
I get an enormous kick out of facilitating ritual and ceremony because it’s a place where I feel I’m truly living in the moment, and feel more connected to All That Is. I do it not only for myself, but for others, individuals and groups, big and small, simple and complex, planned and spontaneous.
I love belly dance because it speaks to the divine feminine in me and in all of us. I have a passion for movement arts, sacred dance, moving energy with my body, experiencing connection and healing through dance and movement. I love performing with my dance troupe Saraswati Modern Tribal … we’re all about sisterhood and the love of the dance.
Sometimes when people ask me what I do, I tell them I’m a Renaissance Woman … in addition to my spiritual and dance practices
I’m an artist, and I love all things artsy … including crafting, painting, drawing, sewing, costuming, mehndi, pottery, fiber arts, graphic design, book design, music, drumming, performing arts…
I live in San Diego with my husband Brian. Our dog Charlie is a Lab Spaniel mix, he’s a total sweetheart once you get past the barking.
